Show time 2

I happened to take 3 calls while driving to Atlanta today for the movie - Sainikudu, three of the callers were surprised I was going to that movie, It's BAD they said. So I think I was kinda prepared, after a dinner in Minerva, Rags happened to ask the directions just to verify, the person at the counter burst into flames, worst movie ever in my life, he claimed. I wondered, can anything be worser than Chiru or NBK (latest) movies??
Anyways we didn't expect much now not even a single person gave it an average score, the opening scene definitely had a lot of effort put in, nothing close to reality though. Special DFX effects seem to be Mahesh Babu's forte, all his movies have some kind of digital graphics in them, the first half was just ok, we could barely sit through without complaining. I seriously don't understand why heroines in Telugu movies are retarded? As Surya pointed out he thought Haasini in Bommarillu was retarded, that word holds true for Trisha in Sainikudu more than any heroine in any recent Telugu movie.
The second half was a brief preview of a classic case of stockholm syndrome with scenes captured from Behind enemy lines( the land mines scene), there was the scene of a wooden bridge collapsing taken from some movie I can't remember (from the producers of Independence day, a South American movie involving rebels) and one scene which looked like King kong (latest) fighting with dinosaurs falling through creepers between two high mountains. Continuing the increasing level of violence, the hero is more than a superman throwing the villain and his henchmen as though they were made of plastic or had bodies of clay mold, ridiculous....

Irfan Khan who can be seen across Bollywood to Hollywood (A mighty heart, story of Daniel pearl- in production) looks more like a comedian than a villain in this role.

The final song is the worst blow you can get, just when we were thinking we could go back. Home sweet Home, so far away. But surprisingly the 9:30 PM show was nearly full , considering it was one of the 6-7 shows for the weekend. Lot of sequences a revised version of Okkadu (same director effect, especially the heroine's introduction), an over all rating of 5.0 I would say, much better than any recent Chiru's or NBK's movies. The only relief that co-watchers in the theatre had was for a joke by dharmavarapu, some saving grace, but the damage was already done. If not for the mental preparation we had, I would have probably given it a much worser rating. Sorry to disappoint you guys, but could not find enough good words for the movie at all.... :(

good tht u were prepared to go to the movie,
the ticket sold for 40$ per person in NJ with the arrival of Mahesh, though that is not goin to help much to save it...but guess will run on average with crowd turning up house fulls in USA, may be just to c y its so badddddddd....:)
I always wonder y heroines are always shown as dumb a**** in most of telugu movies, who come into picture for some songs with skimpy clothes or in the climax for a sentimental scene to :((...
but i bet sidhu..tht chiru n NBK movies are definitely entertrainers, I bet u can laugh cing them till ur stomach n face hurts, and sainukudu is no way a match to them...
